The Final game of the America East Men's Basketball Tournament 

was Played today (Saturday) in The Patrick's Gym at UVM in Burlington VT.

The winner of this tournament gains an automatic bid to the NCAA 

Men's 2019 Division I Basketball Championship.

The Teams for Today were

The University of Vermont Catamount's

VS

University of Maryland, Baltimore County Retrievers

So its almost a given that Cabot Cheese, makers of Worlds Best Cheddar, should have been there cheering on our Catamount's hoping they could claw their way to the top of this Tournament bracket and move on to the chase for the
National Championship.

Using Abe's Quote from a couple of years ago.
"It is altogether fitting and proper that we do this" 

One of our Great Cabot Farmers Ashlynn Foster from Foster Brothers Farm in Weybridge, VT. and I were there doing our best to see if we could make it happen even tho we were more than a tad biased towards the Cats, we welcomed fans from either Team with open arms.

As we had hoped the Cats defeated The UMBC, Retrievers 66-49, in front of over 3,000 raucous fans.
So our support and the team efforts made it a Slam dunk win for the Cats.

As Ashlynn Drops the Mic and walks off..

 Got there early and it was looking rather forlorn although there were a handful of fans in line for tickets up front when I arrived about 7:15

Didn't take us very long to get our basic set up ready .

GO CAT'S !! Drop em in the Basket Early and Often !!

Ashlynn got a little face painting done next door to us.

I went over to check out the local broadcasters of the Game !!
101.3 I heard him mention the Giants so I showed him my Eagles Ball Marker on my hat, he said Whoa we have an Eagles fan here he has a right to brag..:-)

The cheerleaders were next to us warming up.
I don't know what the big deal is I do that stuff every morning when I get up.:-)

Around 9:00 they opened up the Fan Fest and folks just rolled in.

We had a LOT of people stop by the booth and talk about the worlds best Cheddar and about their Personal favorite flavor and all I know is after talking to many lady Cabot fans, not just today, but over time, when the name Alpine comes up I hear OH MY GOD I love that. If I was about 21 and single I would change my name to Al Pine :-).

The Cheerleaders stopped by to sample some cheese and get their game on.

And so did "Rally" the Cats anthropomorphic Mascot, he could not sample cheese so I assume he just stopped by to pose with Ashlynn.

I think Bessie The Heifer got a little nervous when a Catamount showed up.

Anyway the Cats have advanced to the next level and we wish them all the best. 

 And I am Happy that Ashlynn and I had the privilege of promoting our Cheese and our Hard Working Farmers along with the UVM Catamounts.
