Breakfast On The Farm

Sprague Farm Brookfield Vermont

It was a special day at Sprague farm today since they were hosting
"Breakfast on the Farm".
They were assisted by many volunteers and Vendors from  around the area
and in our situation by the Cabot Farmer CO-OP.
The Sprague family farm has been around since the family first milked cows here in 1864, when John Keith Sprague bought a home, acreage and farm buildings.
While other farms came and went, the Spragues stayed with the land, passing it to George Sprague in the 1890s, then to John Alan Sprague around 1937, and to John Keith Sprague in 1965.
After 141 years, the farm is still in the family, passed collectively to John’s brother Gordon and to John’s son Keith, in 1998.
The Farm was selected in 2005 as the farm of the year and they are still going strong today.
So in honor of not only that, but honoring all the active and hard working Dairy farmers in the State lets do this.

Heading South on Rt 14 through Barre shortly after the crack.

Arrived at the Farm located my spot and started getting things ready to go.

The Ladies were not paying much attention to me tho I guess I am built wrong.:-)

Just as I was starting Kim~mi and Ann showed up and we got everything else unloaded so I could head over and park my rig.

After I parked I walked back over past the breakfast tent it was large and ready to go.

The old Ford Farm truck

Inside the Breakfast Tent.

Walking past the the calf stalls I had a chuckle as she was staring at me.
Here's my number call me maybe .

Some farm notables hanging around maybe you recognize a couple of them.

I did not have time to visit any other vendors etc other than this guy on my way back to our site.

After I got back and we finished our set up people were starting to trickle in.
Ann was getting her smoothie groove on.

Once the line started to form we had a steady stream of people there all day.

Folks of all ages were ready and willing to pedal themselves a very special treat.

Ms Kim~mi was not being snooty she was just flat out busy loading up blenders with her Smoothie recipe of Orange Juice, Strawberries, Vanilla Bean Yogurt powered up a scoop of the Best Whey Protein Powder on the planet.

Our Neighbors "MustBeTheMilk.com" were busy as well

While our treasured guests of all ages waited patiently to pedal themselves into Smoothie Heaven .

This little Sweet Heart fell in love with Bessy.

Right next to us was the Calving stall

And of course there were some fresh ones there as usual

As we neared closing time things slowed down .

Shortly there after we folded the tent and headed home after a steady non-stop day
Ann, Kim and I all had a fun filled day.
We had a steady stream of happy visitors and everyone absolutely loved the smoothies.
Glad we could all be a part of it.

If you want to see all the picture's I took with audio enhancement here ya go.
