UVM vs. UNH at Gutterson Field House

UVM vs UNH
Competition between these two schools has always been a good rivalry deciding which one of these two are the best at whatever sport.
However deciding between these two about the Best Cheese in the World was a no brainer, especially having farmers in both states contributing to that effort.
I arrived early to avoid a major pain in getting close parking and unloading the goods.
And it worked, I was almost the lone wolf other than security, but Lizzy Saward from VT Sports was there and hooked me up with my spot.

So I got the basic setup done, other than cheese so that is always a feel good moment.

The UVM  Branded Items store was opening and getting ready .

Shortly there after the Ticket sales opened up and folks started to come in this was about 5:00 or so.

The UNH Bus arrived about the same time I did and all the players scrambled out and headed to locker room to change and hit the court to warm up.

Not long after that the people were coming in by the droves. 

So I filled the bowls and went at it.

Several people made positive comments about the new products and packaging too.

I was using my new phone from Pete and Rachael so being a little confused and fat fingers I took several "1 second videos" instead of .jpg's so I missed taking shots of my neighbor for the night "Wings Over Burlington" who were serving sample's too, so we had a  Chicken Cheese Buffet going for quite a while.
Then it was game on and the place was packed.

The school Mascot "Rally" The Catamount stopped by to pay his respect 

And also a couple of the Vermont Cheerleaders stopped by too and they were happy we were there and of course so  was I :-)
Of course "Rally" had to prank the shot, I think he was frustrated cause he couldn't eat any cheese

 I was a great night very busy except for a few brief lulls during the game and I was virtually slammed after it was over as @ 3600 exciting fans exited and we had tamed the "Wild Cats" 74 to 50 so many elated fans stopped by.
Great fun filled and busy night glad I could be a part of it

2020 Vermont Farm Show

The Vermont Farm Show was started in 1931 and has ran continuously since then other than a brief period during World War II.
Cabot Made its 1st appearance in the show in 1945
And Once again the Cabot Creamery Co-op is proud to be participating in it.
And what a worthwhile endeavor for our Dairy Farmers to promote Agriculture in the
"Green Mountain State"
So lets get started.
Left Home Monday Morning to go visit the gang at fulfillment in Cabot to pick up all the Cheese and swag roads were a little sporty but not bad



Rolled in, got parked pretty close and unloaded, and hauled in the stuff.



Jeremy had the Cabot fridge all set up and ready to go so I plugged it in loaded up the cheese, got the basic set-up done and shortly there after I headed back to the ranch and pre-cubed cheese to get me going Tuesday Morning.



Rolled back in Early Tuesday Morning and got prepped up for the opening cow bell.





Shortly there after Jackie Rang the bell and away we went.
Tuesday was a tad slower than usual not sure why but it was.
The folks we did have were very excited about us being there and expressed their feelings about Cabot and Touting us as their favorite booth.
These young ladies were very excited about us being there and choosing their favorite cheese so after getting their Moms OK to do so I presented them their cheese and took their picture.



Wednesday was much busier with the all the Future farmers showing up .
There was a steady line of people there all day.



I was glad that my buddy Luke volunteered to come by a couple of times to give me a break

As some of you may notice I changed my serving plates over to bigger round plates because the slate ones were sloppier and smaller than I could handle for this event



There were many great vendors there as usual but I did not have much time to wander around but did go and visit the Blue Cross Blue Shield Smoothie bike cranking them out.



And to go visit the "Farm To Plate" booth and see the "More Local Food Give Away"
donated by our gracious farm families..

And what would a Vermont Farm Show Be without a John Deere Tractor Display.

This Lady Came By and politely asked for a donation for the VT. Lung Association.
I felt I could not turn her down she was working  in honor of her husband who died of a lung disease.

One of the last people who came by the booth was this handsome little fella sporting his John Deere Green Colors his Mom said he was a giant fan of Cabot so how could I not let him walk away without his favorite .

So that about does for this year show  it was a bit slower than usual but still a very good show with a lot of great interaction with all the fans and future fans many, many of them expressing their enthusiasm  about all the new items we were displaying CC's , Slices,  New Shreds etc.
Glad I was able to be a part of it.
