100 on 100 Relay

This is a great event if you are up to it, running 100 miles on Vermont's Route 100, aka Vermont's "Main Street".
WOW! it doesn't get any more scenic than that.
Race starts at Trapp Bier Hall in Stowe and ending at
Jackson Gore Mountain Resort at Okemo Mountain.
A course that will test your hood, Man and woman alike.

Cabot Creamery is providing some fuel for the race so stop in and top off your tank so you don't run out of gas before the checkered flag.
I am serving up some Greek Vanilla Bean Yogurt along with some Vermont Maple Syrup and powered up with some Clean Whey Protein Powder, if you wish.
So lets see how it went..

Headed out about 3:00 AM I could see lightning bolts off in the distance but hoping it would not affect us, I had  my country music cranking and was thinking I ain't gonna let it bother me whatever it is, it is, I'm running with it.

I did run through a pretty good session of thunder, lightning and rain but when I arrived at the Trapp Brewery it was down to just sprinkles.
But still dreary and dark.

Hopped out of my rig and commenced to get things set up using the braille method..:-)

There were a few people piling in when I got set up with the basics, so my mind jumped from worrying about the rain and breeze to taking care of "bidness"

I had the Yogurt and Maple "Slurple" on the table & ready to go so bring it on.

So it was a slow steady group of runners coming and going until after day light then more people were stopping.
Nick and the Cabot Troupe came in and by that time things were hopping.

Of all the Cabot events I have done before I don't remember anyone previous to this one actually bowing down to me for our presence. But it happened today.
Thanks guys !!  :-)

The Cabot entourage was there by then as well.
L-R: Ross Lieblappen, Tony Liberatore, Sean Bonnell, Michelle Risley, Rachael Richards, Eric Hill, Derek Fallon, Abby Snyder
Missing: from picture was David Speed, Kim Abell, Jordan Clark &
Nick Managan Who is taking the picture.

There were several other Seriously Sharp runners there too.

I decided a bit later I should be offering anyone who wanted to do it a chance to add some Octane to their handmade smoothie by adding some whey protein to it which turned out to be a successful addition to the day.

After the last team hit the trail I folded the tent and headed home ending what I thought was a fun filled and worthwhile event.

Inside the hall they were firing up the Fireplace to get lunch prepared but I was not waiting around for that

If you want to see just some music enhanced pics here ya go.

Glad I could be a part of the day.
