Capstone "Fuel Your Neighbor" Fund Raiser

Cabot Creamery Co-op worked their magic again and performed a
"Random Act of Cheddar" assisting and working with fellow "B corp" Alchemist Brewery, and Capstone Community Action Group in their "Fuel Your Neighbor Program" raising money for a wonderful cause of supplying heating Fuel for those who can't afford to do so. Capstone is powered by fellow Cooperative VSECU a credit union, and all coming together to make a more positive impact on Society as a whole.

I was fortunate to be able to do this event for the farmers and it was a wonderful day. I arrived there about 12:30 and was greeted by a fairly large crowd already, so it took a while to get setup when I arrived, and what better partnership could you come up with to draw a huge crowd than serving up some renowned "Heady Topper" Beer Crowned as the "Worlds best Beer" Along with Cabot Cheese recognized as the "Worlds best Cheddar" ?.
Yeah that what I thought too.

Once they got the crowd relocated it did not take long to get setup, although it was in fairly tight quarters.

I tried to make it as festive as I could and create a gift giving atmosphere using the Christmas Spirit to motivate the cause, and it appeared to work well.

The  "Dale and Darcy Band" who were doing the entertaining for the event arrived about the same time and sprang into action as quickly  as possible.
They were very entertaining playing Waltzes, Bluegrass, and Irish Favorites

Of Course Capstone (Powered by VSECU Credit Union) was there doing their thing and explaining the cause to those attending the event.

Once things got moving there was a steady in and out crowd the whole time.

Then the crowd livened up and the band opened up the stage to anyone who might want to participate in the entertaining there were a few who took advantage like this fellow who was pretty good singing an old Gaelic tune "The Rocky Road to Dublin"

Then it was back  to just taking care of business

Of course most people know this but bringing attention to the fact that if there are no farms there is no beer which is pretty important in more ways than one.

The brewery itself was spotless and very elaborate.

People were imbibing  their choice of beverage and enjoying the entertainment which  was pretty obvious most of the time.

They were sampling their beer & of course taking donations for the cause all the time as well.

Folks were traveling to and fro at the table also, and I had many Cabot cheese loving, farmer loving, beer loving folks there.

I don't know the reason for this smiling critter but it stood guard the whole time.

These ladies stopped by late in the day and I had a little contest offering these display bars if they could tell me who made the best cheddar in the whole world, I was very happy that all 3 knew it was Cabot !!
😜

It was a great day and I was happy to be a part of it.
